Community asset transfer

Current applications

You can view current live Community Asset transfer requests and their associated documents on the planning portal. Search for ‘Community Asset Transfer’ in the ‘Application Type’ drop-down list.

Applications go through a number of stages as they are processed. These stages are as follows:

Validated – the application has been accepted, and the process begins
Community consultation – interested parties have the right to make a comment
Asset Transfer Panel – awaiting decision by panel of senior council staff
Committee approval – awaiting endorsement of elected members
Legal negotiations – if approved, then both parties agree on the terms of the lease or sale
Review – the applicant has asked for a review by elected members of the decision or the terms
Appeal – the applicant has appealed against the decision or terms offered by the authority
Approved or declined
