The Youth, Family and Community Learning and Home School Partnership Service support a wide range of adult learning opportunities.

Informal Learning

A range of informal introductory courses are available to help build confidence and provide people with a taste of the types of learning they can get involved in. These include:

  • Personal computing / IT (beginners - intermediate)
  • Craft activities
  • Confidence building
  • Internet safety
  • Healthy cookery
  • Stress management

Accredited Learning

This is the next step, providing certificated learning courses designed to get participants into work or further study. Courses can include:

  • REHIS Food Handling Certificate
  • Certificated first aid
  • Introduction to counselling
  • STEPS personal development programme
  • Alternative therapies

Support for Community Groups and Organisations

A variety of courses are also available for community based organisations including:

  • Committee training skills
  • Negotiated learning opportunities
  • Partnership activities
