Regulation and inspections from external bodies
The Care Inspectorate
The Care Inspectorate checks and improves the quality of care services across Scotland. They make sure care services meet national standards and help services improve when changes are needed.
They inspect a wide range of services, including care homes, sheltered housing, housing support and homeless support services. They also look at how care is delivered across whole areas, not just individual services.
The care inspectorate supports improvement by identifying good practice and working with services to raise standards where needed.
You can find full information about their role, inspections and reports on the Care Inspectorate website.
