Get Walking Lanarkshire offers free, friendly group walks across Lanarkshire to help you get active, meet people and feel better. Our health walks are short, gentle and led by trained volunteers, making them ideal if you are new to walking, getting back into activity or living with a health condition.
What to expect
Our health walks are designed to be easy and welcoming:
- free to join
- last up to one hour
- led by trained walk leaders
- follow safe, planned routes
- taken at a relaxed, steady pace
Many routes are also suitable for wheeling.
Who can join
Everyone is welcome. These walks are especially helpful if you:
- are not very active
- are recovering from illness or injury
- have a health condition
- prefer a slower pace
You can come along on your own or with others. There is no pressure to walk far or fast.
