Road works, closures and resurfacing

We publish a list of roads we plan to resurface each year. This helps you see where improvements are scheduled and plan ahead if work may affect your area.

The programme covers the financial year and includes roads across South Lanarkshire. It may change during the year due to weather, emergencies or other priorities.

What resurfacing means

Resurfacing improves the condition of the road by replacing the top layer. This helps:

• make roads safer
• extend the life of the road
• reduce the need for future repairs

We plan these works based on inspections and the condition of the road network.
