Your new kitchen

We have chosen a kitchen supplier carefully to give you a good choice of styles and finishes. You will be able to choose from a range of kitchen units, worktops and flooring to suit your home.

Before the work starts, we will carry out an electrical inspection. This checks whether any electrical work is needed. Sometimes we only need small changes, but in some homes a partial or full rewire may be required.

You can choose not to have a new kitchen fitted. However, you cannot refuse essential electrical work. We must fix any faults to keep your home safe. We strongly encourage you to take part so your kitchen meets modern standards and suits your needs.

What to expect during the work

We know this work can be disruptive and we will keep this to a minimum.

During each working day:

  • the water supply will be switched off
  • appliances will be disconnected and stored safely
  • we will reconnect your cooker each evening where possible

What the work includes

When we replace your kitchen, we will:

  • disconnect water, gas and electricity
  • remove old units and flooring as needed
  • carry out plumbing and electrical work
  • fit smoke, heat or carbon monoxide alarms if required
  • repair walls and floors where needed
  • install your new kitchen, worktops, splashbacks and flooring
  • complete safety checks and final inspection
  • arrange a decoration pack through your customer liaison assistant
  • ask you to complete a short satisfaction survey

Choosing your kitchen

Your customer liaison assistant will contact you to arrange a kitchen survey. This is when you choose your units, worktops and flooring.

Your kitchen is supplied by jtc, and you can view options in advance using the jtc furniture group visualiser.
