Proposed taxi fare changes – South Lanarkshire (all zones)

Review of taxi fares

We are reviewing taxi fares across South Lanarkshire. This includes the four licence zones:

  • Clydesdale
  • East Kilbride
  • Hamilton
  • Rutherglen and Cambuslang

We must carry out this review under the Civic Government (Scotland) Act 1982.

We are proposing changes to the current fare structure, including small increases to starting fares, distance charges and waiting time.

The reviewed taxi fares tariffs will come into force on 5 November in East Kilbride, Clydesdale and Cambuslang and Rutherglen zones. The taxi fares tariff in the Hamilton zone will remain at the current tariff meantime.
