South Lanarkshire Council provide allotments for rent on an annual basis and currently have sites in East Kilbride, Rutherglen, Hamilton and Strathaven.
Due to their popularity there is a significant waiting list and applicants are held on the list in date order. If you are a South Lanarkshire resident and wish to be added to the waiting list please complete the following form.
- Plots are available to South Lanarkshire residents only
- Applicants who accept a smaller plot than originally requested, will be removed from the waiting list
- Existing plotholders who require a larger plot are required to submit a new application form and will be placed at the end of the waiting list. Please note that offers on the same site cannot be guaranteed
- Whilst we will try to offer the size of plot applied for, we may contact you regarding available alternatives
- The council does not operate separate waiting lists for specific sites. Therefore, if you decline a reasonable offer within 3 miles of your home, your name may be removed or placed at the end of the waiting list in order for us to comply with Scottish Government targets
- You are obliged to keep your contact details updated otherwise you will be removed from the list if we are unable to contact you
- Information supplied will be used in relation to the waiting list and for statistical purposes only.
