You must provide evidence that shows the property is undergoing major repair. Some examples noted below:
- a builder’s schedule
- documentation from an insurance company which provides a detailed breakdown of the work required
- a home report detailing the condition of the property when purchased
- copies of receipts for building materials purchased
- or any other other similar documentation - we cannot accpet photographs as evidence on their own. They must be supported by the other types of evidence suggested above.
If you are not registered for Council Tax in South Lanarkshire, you must provide proof of the address you were living at during the unoccupied period. This is not relevant if you are a Business.
