Blue Badge scheme

You can help us stop misuse of Blue Badges and disabled person’s parking bays. If you see a badge being used wrongly or a disabled person's parking bay being misused, you can report it. We will look into the details and take action to protect parking for people who need it.

Report misuse of a Blue Badge

A Blue Badge must only be used by the person it was issued to. If a badge is being used incorrectly, we have legal powers to cancel or remove it under the Disabled Person's Parking Badges (Scotland) Act 2014.

When you report misuse, please share as much information as you can. This helps us investigate more quickly.

You can include:

• the Blue Badge number and expiry date (if known)
• how the badge is being misused - for example, someone else is using the badge when the badge holder is not in the vehicle or parking illegally
• the name, address and vehicle registration number of the badge holder (if known)
• the name, address and vehicle registration number of the person misusing the badge (if known)
