Freedom of Information
You have the right to ask us for information we hold. The Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002 (FOISA) lets anyone request recorded information from South Lanarkshire Council. You can use your rights to ask for all sorts of information.
What you can ask for
You can ask for any information we hold in recorded form..
Some information may be withheld if the law allows it, such as personal data or information that could cause harm if released. If we cannot give you something, we will explain why.
Check what we already publish
We already publish a large amount of information online. Our Guide to the Freedom of Information Publication Scheme explains what we make available.
We recommend checking this first, before you submit your request.
Our policies
We act fairly and lawfully when handling requests. Details are set out in our Freedom of Information Policy and Information requests compliance policy.
