Air Quality Strategy
We are developing a new Air Quality Strategy to help improve and protect air quality across South Lanarkshire.
The strategy will support our work to create a healthier environment while encouraging sustainable growth and development. It will help guide decisions and plans across our services and set out how we can work together to improve air quality.
Working together
Good air quality benefits everyone. The strategy is aimed at:
- residents
- council employees
- local businesses
- community groups and organisations
We all have a role to play in reducing pollution and creating a cleaner, healthier environment for current and future generations.
Environmental assessment
As part of the development process, the proposed strategy has been assessed for potential environmental impacts in line with the Environmental Assessment (Scotland) Act 2005.
You can read the screening determination report for more information.
