Bulk uplifts

Conditions for collection

• have the items ready for collection by 7am on collection day 
• only leave out items included in your booking, additional items won’t be uplifted 
• make sure your items are visible and accessible to the collection crew
• unlock gates and remove obstacles to allow the crews safe access to the items for uplift 
• safely place items as per the guidance given at the time of booking 
• keep pets restrained or indoors on the day so the crew can enter your garden safely 
• if you authorise us to collect items from within the garden/driveway of your property, we accept no liability for loss or damage to any of your property including your land, buildings, and vehicles
• photos of the uplift will be taken before and after collection 
• email confirmation will be sent to you after collection

How to prepare for your bulk uplift

Bagged waste

• do not overfill bags. Each bag must be light enough for one person to lift
• make sure no sharp objects are sticking through

Screws and nails

• remove nails and screws, or hammer them flush to prevent injury

Sofas

• recliner sofas must be dismantled before collection

Carpets

• roll carpets and secure them with tape or string

Mattresses

• only put mattresses out on the day of collection as we may not be able to collect them if they are very heavy due to rain

Fridges and freezers

• empty all food and defrost fully
• tape the doors shut

Wood and laminate

• cut planks into lengths no longer than 5 feet
• tie or tape them into manageable bundles
• remove or hammer in nails and screws

Glass

• wrap glass items, such as mirrors, in strong material like bubble wrap or thick polythene
• double‑wrap and tape securely

Mixed items

• present items neatly so they can be collected safely

Paint tins

• paint tins must be empty, or the paint must be dried out using paint hardener, sand or soil
