Make sure you are registered to vote in the forthcoming Scottish Local Government Elections.
That’s the message from Returning Officer Cleland Sneddon, as the deadline for registering to vote is midnight on Monday 18 April.
He said: “Ahead of the elections, the message is simple – your vote counts.
“I would urge everyone who is eligible to check that they are registered to vote.
“If you are already registered, you should have now received your polling card through the post.
“If you are not yet registered, please do so before the deadline. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to get in touch with the Electoral Registration Office.”
Voting for the elections will take place on Thursday 5 May.
