We’re here to help

We know that it’s hard to budget just now, with higher costs for everyday things like fuel, food, rent and utilities.
As household incomes tighten, we understand that keeping up with your rent payments may be difficult.
Paying your rent on time ensures that you and your family have a safe and secure home to live in. If you’re experiencing financial difficulties, struggling to heat your home or worried about paying your rent, your local Housing Officer is here to help. They understand that you may be stressed or worried and are always on hand to listen and provide you with help, advice and support.
If you have fallen behind with your rent payments, your Housing Officer will work with you to agree an affordable rent repayment arrangement to help you get back on track.
Your Housing Officer can also put you in contact with specialist agencies such as Money Matters Advice Service, the Rent Income Support Team, Energy Advice Scotland, Citizens Advice Bureau and the DWP. These agencies can provide a range of advice, assistance and support on entitlement to welfare benefits,
including Universal Credit, managing finances and help with energy tariffs and costs.
If you want to find out more about how your Housing Officer can help support you or if you would like to arrange a face-to-face appointment to discuss your circumstances in more detail, please email or phone your local housing office.
