Roberton residents advised of roadworks
Published: Thursday 24 August 2023
Essential repairs are to be carried out on a road near the village of Roberton.
The A73 will be closed between its junction with the A702 and Howgate Road from 7am on Monday 4 September for up to 5 days.
No motor vehicles (except those engaged in the work and emergency service vehicles) will be able to park or drive on the road during this time.
The signed diversion route will be as follows: B7078, A70 and A73.
Head of Roads, Transportation and Fleet Services, Colin Park, said: “We are aware of the disruption that this road closure will cause and hope that the long-term benefits will be valued.
“Your patience and understanding during the works would be much appreciated.
“If you can avoid the area during the works please do so, but if not please leave extra time for your journey.”
