The Community Wish List has helped a Blantyre nursery get rid of excessive waste following a clean-up.
Calderside Nursery Centre cleared out their garden and playrooms, and they appealed to the wish list to get the extra bags of rubbish removed.
Jettison Professional Waste Management answered the wish and uplifted the rubbish.
Head of Centre Donna Tyczynski said: “We would like to thank the team for lifting the refuge of old resources from our nursery car park.
“They were flexible and accommodating to lift all resources put out for collection.
“It really has helped and supports the improvement plans for the nursery.”
A spokesperson for Jettison said: “We were delighted to be able to assist with the nurseries recent bulk waste collection.”
The Community Wish List is supported by the council’s Community Engagement team.
Chair of the Finance and Corporate Resources Committee, Councillor Lesley McDonald, said: "This is another great example of the CWL and the unique and individual benefits it can bring to local communities and organisations.”
Local community groups can submit a wish via the council website, by email, or by calling 0303 123 1017.
