One day resurfacing for Hamilton street
Published: Monday 4 November 2024
Improvements are to be made to a road in Hamilton next week.
Carriageway resurfacing will take place on Caird Street from 8am to 6pm on Monday 11 November, at the traffic lights near the junction of Douglas Street and New Park Street.
The works will be carried out for one day and there will be no access to the retail park from Caird Street.
A short diversion via Beckford Street, Clydesdale Street and Douglas Street will be signed on site.
Additionally, there will be no access to Caird Street from the Beckford Street Council Car Park for the duration of the works.
Head of Roads, Fleet and Transportation Services, Colin Park, said: “We apologise in advance for any inconvenience these works may cause, however, we are confident we will be able to complete the works in one day, minimising any disruption.
“If you can, please avoid the area for the duration of the works, but if not, leave extra time for your journey.”
Advanced warning signs are in place ahead of the works next week.
