New venue for business awards

A new venue has been announced for the 30th anniversary of the Lanarkshire Business Awards.
The impressive Caledonia Gladiators Arena in East Kilbride will host the awards dinner on Friday 30 May, when the winners of each category will be announced.
The awards, hosted jointly by South and North Lanarkshire Councils, are one of the longest running and most recognised. They are open to all Lanarkshire based business in all sectors and promote and celebrate the success of local businesses.
Tony McDaid, CEO of Caledonia Gladiators, said: “This year’s special anniversary for the Lanarkshire Business Awards marks an important moment for the local business community as we reflect on the last 30 years of success.
“As we grow Caledonia Gladiators, a key objective of ours is to bring that business community together to create a hub for networking, partnerships and further growth, and of course somewhere for them to meet over a fantastic game of basketball.
“The Lanarkshire Business Awards drives that goal forward for businesses across both North and South Lanarkshire and we’re thrilled to play host as we help celebrate the very best of our local business community.”
Tickets are on sale now at the Business Awards website.
There is also still time to apply for the 2025 Lanarkshire Business Excellence Awards.
Applications are open to all Lanarkshire businesses and social enterprises and are free to enter. Companies can apply for up to two of the ten categories.
Chair of South Lanarkshire Council’s Community and Enterprise Resources, Councillor Robert Brown said: “The awards are a great opportunity for the tremendous range of innovative businesses we have across Lanarkshire to showcase their achievements.
“Many businesses across our area are thriving, despite all the external issues that are being faced across the business sector and beyond.
“I can’t wait to see the high calibre of entries that we can expect across Lanarkshire.”

- Lanarkshire’s Best Business (11-50 employees) – sponsored by UKSE
- Lanarkshire’s Best Business (51 employees or more) – sponsored by Hub South West
- Lanarkshire’s Best New Business – sponsored by Business Gateway Lanarkshire
- Lanarkshire’s Community Impact Award – sponsorship still available
- Lanarkshire Innovation in Business Award – sponsorship still available
- Lanarkshire Food & Drink Award – sponsored by Developing the Young Workforce Lanarkshire
- Lanarkshire’s Employer of the Year– sponsored by North Lanarkshire’s Working and South Lanarkshire Works
- Lanarkshire Green Business Award – sponsorship still available
- Excellence in Customer Service – sponsorship still available
