Tree felling and carriageway resurfacing is to take place on a road in Carluke from Monday.
Brownlee Road, Carluke, between Cardies Bridge and Mauldslie Road will shut on Monday 30 June at 7am for up to three weeks.
Over the duration of the closure two separate signed diversion routes will be in place.
The first will run from Monday 30 June until Sunday 13 July and will utilise the A71, A721, A73 and B7011.
The second diversion route will commence on Monday 14 July until Monday 21 July and will utilise the A71 to Garrion Bridge, A72, A73 and B7011.
Head of Roads, Transportation and Fleet Services, Colin Park, said: “We are aware of the disruption that this road closure will cause but hope that the long-term benefits will be appreciated.
“Your patience and understanding during the short-term period of inevitable inconvenience would be much appreciated.”
