16 to 19

All young persons cardholders are entitled to the Young Scot discounts; however when you turn 16 you become eligible for travel discounts too.

Cardholders aged 16 - 18 are entitled to up to one third off on public transport fares on buses and trains.

Simply show the driver/ticket office your National Entitlement Card when purchasing your bus/train ticket.

There are some restrictions as to how and when the travel discounts can be obtained, for example regarding peak times and minimum spends.

Please bear in mind this travel discount is only available between the ages of 16 - 18, once you turn 19 you will no longer receive this travel discount.
