How to apply

You can be eligible for a disabled National Entitlement Card (the concessionary travel card) from the age of 5 years and onwards.

The process is managed by Strathclyde Partnership for Transport (SPT). Application forms, and instructions on how to apply for the disabled concessionary card and the +1 companion card are available from the SPT website here.

In order to apply you will need to provide copies of:

  • a recent passport-style colour photograph
  • current documentary evidence of your age, ie current driving licence, passport
  • current documentary evidence of your disability dated within thelast twelve months
  • proof of your current address, ie bank statement, Utility bill dated within the last three months

Once your application has been processed by SPT, your card will be posted to you.
