Callum is an Operations Manager in the West Central National Operations team for NatureScot, the role includes managing a team working across West Central and South National Operations.  Callum’s role focusses on developing and delivering projects and partnerships that result in positive outcomes for nature and supporting delivery across West Central and South Scotland.

Callum is also involved in a national project working in partnership with a range of private companies and investors to test out new approaches to nature finance, which will deliver responsible and high integrity landscape scale investment into nature restoration in Scotland.  The pilot project will explore whether investment from the private sector can be harnessed to help landowners fund the upfront costs of creating new woodland, or restoring peatland, in exchange for a share of the profits from carbon market sales.

Prior to working in NatureScot, Callum worked for 26 years in various charities and before that for 14 years in Local Government.
