You can renew your wedding vows with a civil ceremony in South Lanarkshire. We can help you plan a short, personal ceremony to celebrate your relationship, whether it is a special anniversary or a fresh start.
What happens at the ceremony
You choose what your ceremony includes. You can add:
- readings or personal vows
- mentions of children or family
- contributions from friends or guests
- an exchange of rings
You will sign a souvenir certificate with two witnesses. Ceremonies usually last around 15 minutes, depending on your plans.
Where you can hold it
You can hold your ceremony:
- at one of our registration offices
- at approved venues
- at another location we have risk assessed
A registrar visit to a non-approved venue costs £69.93.
