Wish list helps Men’s Shed

Members of Stonehouse Men’s Shed are looking forward to hitting the high notes – thanks to the council’s Community Wish List.
The group were looking for a range of musical instruments for new members who were just learning how to play.
Jettison Waste Management successfully sourced the items requested by the group.
Trustee of the Men’s Shed, Robert Freel, said: “We would like to thank the Community Wish List team and Jettison for making the donation of musical instruments to Stonehouse Men’s Shed.
“These will provide an opportunity for those members who don't have an instrument.”
Director of Jettison, Ross Martin, said: “We are delighted to be involved with the Community Wish List.
“We collect so much ‘useable junk’ it’s great to know we can pass it on for someone else’s benefit.
“It fits perfectly with our company’s values and is something we will continue to support.”
Chair of the council's Finance and Corporate Resources Committee, Councillor Lesley McDonald, said: "This is another great example of the Community Wish List and the benefits it can bring to local communities and organisations.
"I would like to thank all the companies who have so generously donated so far."
