Challenge Poverty Week 2025
Thursday 9 October
As part of Challenge Poverty Week, a series of events and activities are taking place across South Lanarkshire to raise awareness, share information, and bring communities together. Each day features opportunities to hear from local organisations, access support, and connect with others. Whether you drop in to an event, take part in a workshop, or simply want to find out more, there’s something happening every day to get involved with.

Hamilton Information Project Youth (HIPY) (Hamilton)
Location: Regent Shopping Centre, Hamilton, ML3 7DZ
Time: 1.00pm - 5.00pm
Information: Community Pop up session will have a focus on period positivity. The aim of the event is to reduce poverty by distributing free reusable period products while giving clear care instructions, information and advice in the hope of also reducing stigma and embarrassment around periods.
