How to apply

The earliest you can apply for your 60+ National Entitlement Card (the concessionary bus pass) is two weeks before your 60th birthday.

To be eligible for this travel concession card you simply need to be 60 years old or over, and be a resident of South Lanarkshire.

Application forms for 60+ cards are available from your local Post Office.

Alternatively, you can apply via the SPT website here.

In order to apply you will need to provide:

  • a recent passport-style colour photograph
  • current documentary evidence of your age, ie current driving licence, passport, birth certificate
  • proof of your current address, ie bank statement,Utility bill dated within the last three months

Full details of acceptable types of documentary evidence can be found on the front page of the application form. Once you have completed your application form you should take it, along with the items above, in person to your local Post Office to be validated.

Once the application has been processed, your concessionary travel card will be posted to you.
