Wellbeing course to help people with long term conditions

People living with long term conditions can learn how to thrive again - with the help of a special series of workshops.

Run by top psychologists in NHS Lanarkshire throughout May, the five wellbeing session begin from Wednesday, 1 May, at 6pm – 7:30pm at University Hospital Hairmyres.

In the lecture series, people from Lanarkshire will be given the opportunity to understand more about the impact of illness and discover practical tools that can be used to reclaim wellbeing from disability, pain and fatigue.

Dr Deby Graham, Consultant Counselling Psychologist, said: “If you don’t feel quite like yourself anymore and you’re wondering how you might live with a long-term health condition, this course is very much tailored for you.

“Participants will be able to learn from expert teachers, discover practical solutions to manage symptoms and build a clear plan to reclaim their life.

“All participants will be very warmly welcomed.”

  • The five-week series is free, will be held in person at Hairmyres Postgraduate Centre, Ground Floor, University Hospital Hairmyres.
