Water and waste water charges

Water and waste water charges are included in your Council Tax bill, are set by Scottish Water and collected by us on their behalf. The charges pay for essential water and waste water services.

If you have a private water supply or septic tank

You may not need to pay water or waste water charges if you have:

• a septic tank
• a private water supply

You can apply for an exemption online.
