| Conclusion | In the past some families have been supporting young people placed in their care without the knowledge of social work. These children would otherwise have been accommodated. Some children who were looked after by KInship Carers at the behest of Social Work were being supported practically and financially. given the legislative change financial parity will now be achieved in line with Fostering Allowances. This will improve the standards and stability of the Kinship Placements
