Consultation summary and backgroundSouth Lanarkshire Adult Protection Committee (SLAPC) has a responsibility to ensure those who are or may be at risk of harm are supported and protected. The SLAPC also raises awareness and evaluates learning and development in relation to Adult Support and Protection. As part of this responsibility, SLAPC have developed a community survey to evaluate community members awareness of the Adult Support and Protection (Scotland) Act 2007 (referred to as ASP) by seeking their views on what knowledge they already have in relation to the Act and identify any ongoing developmental needs. The information gathered will be used by SLAPC to continue to improve public information and community engagement in relation to adult support and protection within South Lanarkshire.
