| About us | East Mains Baptist Church (EMBC) is a vibrant and growing local church, attracting both young, old and numerous young families. We are situated in a prime position in the heart of the old village of East Kilbride. Our aim is to provide activities and facilities for the community, the relief of poverty and other social needs, including the support of individuals and other charitable organisations and agencies involved in any or all of these. Our centre is a vibrant community hub offering a wide range of activities and support services tailored to diverse local needs. We host seven addiction recovery groups, including AA, GA, and CA, providing safe spaces for healing and connection. The Chit Chat Café Lunch Club offers a welcoming environment for adults facing mental health challenges, and those experiencing loneliness or isolation. We run a Parent & Toddler group, youth programs such as The Hub and Kids Hub, and a popular Holiday Club every August. To promote financial wellbeing, we offer money management courses that help participants build budgeting skills and financial confidence. In partnership with EK Community Food Bank, we serve as a local distribution centre for food parcels. |
