| About us | 3rd Blantyre Community Group (3BCG) was established as a SCIO in May 2024 to lead the community asset transfer (CAT) of High Blantyre Hall, aiming to bring a vital community space back into use for the benefit of local residents. We received the keys to the building in October 2024 and have since been working to make the space accessible and welcoming for all. Due to neglect, the hall requires some internal and external repair work, which we plan to carry out over the coming months thanks to funding we have secured. These repairs will ensure the hall is safe, comfortable, fit for purpose and more sustainable for future generations. |
| Our Wish | Outdoor furniture Our new hall benefits from a fantastic outdoor area that is already used by the groups who meet here. However, without outdoor furniture, people are unable to fully relax, socialise and enjoy the space. We are seeking outdoor tables and seating (preferably wooden), to make this area welcoming, accessible and usable for all ages. Outdoor furniture would allow community groups, families and volunteers to make the most of the space, encouraging connection, wellbeing and outdoor activity. |
