| About us | 3rd Blantyre Community Group (3BCG) was established as a SCIO in May 2024 to lead the community asset transfer (CAT) of High Blantyre Hall, aiming to bring a vital community space back into use for the benefit of local residents. We received the keys to the building in October 2024 and have since been working to make the space accessible and welcoming for all. Due to neglect, the hall requires some internal and external repair work, which we plan to carry out over the coming months thanks to funding we have secured. These repairs will ensure the hall is safe, comfortable, fit for purpose and more sustainable for future generations. |
| Our Wish | Shipping container We are seeking a shipping container to provide safe, secure and weatherproof storage for our Scout group’s outdoor equipment. The scouts deliver a wide range of outdoor activities, but much of their equipment is too large to be stored safely inside the hall. This includes canoes, archery equipment and large camping gear. Having a dedicated storage container would protect valuable equipment, free up space within the hall, and ensure young people can continue to take part in outdoor activities safely and confidently. If you’re able to help — whether by donating, funding, or supplying a container — your support would make a real and lasting difference. |
