Lanarkshire Educational Trust

The Lanarkshire Educational Trust is a fund established to provide financial assistance for various educational purposes to individuals, clubs, organisations, and educational establishments within the boundaries of the former County of Lanark. It was originally created in 1930 through educational bursaries and scholarships, and it continues to support education in the region.

The Trust offers grants for:

  • Travel scholarships and grants for educational purposes
  • Research scholarships for postgraduate students
  • Support for clubs or organisations working with young people
  • Special educational equipment for schools
  • Sports facilities and educational excursions
  • Promoting education in visual arts, music and drama
  • Some aspects of adult education

The Trust is administered by North Lanarkshire Council, and applications are open to individuals and groups who meet the eligibility criteria. Deadlines for applications are typically in August and December each year.

You can find more details about the Trust and how to apply on the North Lanarkshire Council website at Lanarkshire Educational Trust | North Lanarkshire Council.
