Lanarkshire Educational Trust

The Lanarkshire Educational Trust provides financial assistance for educational purposes to individuals, clubs, organisations and educational establishments within the boundaries of the former County of Lanark.

The Trust was established in 1930 through educational bursaries and scholarships. It continues to support education across the Lanarkshire area.

What the Trust can fund

• travel scholarships and grants for educational purposes
• research scholarships for postgraduate students
• support for clubs or organisations working with young people
• special educational equipment for schools
• sports facilities and educational excursions
• education in visual arts, music and drama
• some aspects of adult education

Who can apply

The Trust is administered by North Lanarkshire Council. Applications are open to individuals and groups who meet the eligibility criteria.

Application deadlines are usually in August and December each year.
