Housing allocation policy consultative draft April 2026

We are reviewing our Housing Allocation Policy and want to hear from you. This policy explains how we decide who gets priority for council housing and how available homes are allocated in South Lanarkshire.

Your feedback will help us make sure the policy is clear, fair and works for local residents. Whether you are a tenant, applicant or just want to share your views, you can take part.

When you can take part

The draft policy and survey are open for 12 weeks, from Friday 10 April 2026 to Friday 3 July 2026.

Your feedback will be taken into account in the development of the finalised policy following which it will be presented to Housing and Technical Resources Committee on Wednesday 2 September 2026.
