Estates strategy consultation

Have your say on our Estate Strategy 2026 to 2036

We are asking for your views on our proposed Estate Strategy for 2026 to 2036. The strategy explains how we plan to manage, improve and make best use of our buildings and service locations over the next 10 years.

Your feedback will help us understand how the proposals could affect residents, communities, service users and local organisations. We want to make sure people can continue to access services easily and that any potential issues are identified before decisions are made.

What the strategy includes

The proposed strategy includes plans for:

  • investing in buildings we will continue to use
  • moving services into modern, improved accommodation
  • bringing services together in shared locations where appropriate
  • reducing office space that is no longer needed
  • reviewing depot facilities
  • removing buildings that are no longer needed or are underused
  • developing a future front door approach to make it easier to access our services

Why your feedback matters

We want to hear if the proposals could:

  • have unexpected effects on people or communities
  • create barriers for any group of residents
  • affect how people access services
  • be influenced by local circumstances we should consider
  • be improved to better meet local needs

Your comments will help us understand the potential impact of the proposals and identify any changes that may be needed.

What happens next

We will review all feedback received through this consultation. The findings will be reported to the Executive Committee in October 2026 and will help shape the final Estate Strategy.

Take part in the consultation

We encourage residents, service users, community organisations and other interested groups to complete the survey and share their views.

See the Investment and proposed change ward areas and complete the Estates strategy consultation survey and tell us what you think.
