Diamond wedding anniversaries
Recognising a special 60‑year milestone
We help couples celebrate their Diamond wedding anniversary (60 years of marriage). Our Provost can visit to mark the occasion with flowers and a commemorative scroll.
If you or a family member are already supported by our social work team, we will help arrange the visit. Around six weeks before the anniversary, a member of staff will talk with you about your plans and check how you would like to celebrate. If you prefer to keep the day private, we will respect your wishes.
If you are not in contact with social work services, you can still ask for the Provost to mark the occasion. You just need to get in touch with the Provost’s Office so we can make the arrangements.
What you need to know
- this is for couples celebrating 60 years of marriage
- the Provost’s visit is optional
- celebrations can be public or private, depending on what you want
- we aim to plan visits around six weeks in advance
