| Aims and Objectives | Where national priorities are already in operation within South Lanarkshire Council, it had been agreed previously to substitute elements of the existing Council budget with additional funding streams. This allowed for initiatives to continue at an existing level. Most sectors have been successfully operating at these levels for a number of years and it is now proposed to permanently remove the original Council elements of these budgets.

| Conclusion | Within particular sectors, initiatives have continued to operate successfully within budget for a number of years. The conclusion of this initial impact assessment is that the proposal to remove some original Council elements of these budgets will have no adverse impact on any part of the community covered by equalities legislation, or on community relations.
