| Aims and Objectives | As the lease for Kings Park Library expires in 2010, it is proposed to close the library. Improved accommodation and enhanced provision at Rutherglen Library is less than 1 mile away.

| Conclusion | The proposal is to close Kings Park Library when the lease expires and offer alternative provision at Rutherglen Library, which is fully accessible, offers longer opening hours, improved IT and community facilities. Therefore, the conclusion of this initial impact assessment is that there are no adverse impacts on any part of the community covered by equalities legislation, or on community relations.
