| Aims and Objectives | Following the withdrawal of the Meals on Wheels service provision by the Royal Voluntary Service (RVS), changes were required to be implemented to current service delivery. This has resulted in frozen meals being provided to those requesting meals. The MoW Prod service intended to support individuals to remain within their own home setting as independently as possible for as long as possible. This service ensured that individuals received good nutrition by the provision of a hot meal on a regular basis. A variety of delivery regularity was provided across localities and this provision was dependent on individually assessed needs. In response to the RVS withdrawal of service, a revised model of service provision was required to be extended to other individuals since the frozen meals service was already in place. This service revision will result in a saving of £0.04M to be achievable in the 2019/20 period.
