Parking fines and appeals
How to pay, appeal or check a parking fine
You can pay a parking fine, submit an appeal, or view photographic evidence online.
To do this, you will need:
- Your vehicle registration number
- Your Penalty Charge Notice (PCN) number
Parking fines
- Parking fines are £100
- The fine is reduced to £50 if paid within 14 days
Parking tickets (Penalty Charge Notices)
A parking ticket (Penalty Charge Notice) may be issued by a parking attendant if your vehicle is parked in breach of parking regulations.
To reduce the risk of receiving a ticket, please ensure you follow all local parking restrictions.
Important information
- Parking attendants do not have discretionary powers. They cannot cancel tickets or deal with disputes at the roadside.
- Vehicles that breach parking regulations may be photographed as part of the enforcement process.
- We will not contact you by text message about an outstanding parking ticket. Please be alert to scams.
Lost parking tickets
If you have lost your parking ticket, please contact us using the Parking enquiry form with the following information:
- The approximate date and time the ticket was issued
- The vehicle registration number

You can also pay a parking fine using the following methods:
By phone
- Call 0303 123 1005 (available 24 hours)
- Select Option 4
In person
- At any Post Office
- At locations with a PayPoint facility
Please note: You must bring documentation containing a barcode when paying in person
