| Project Description | This is a diversification for a 125 acre mixed livestock and Christmas tree farming business based near Strathaven into a farm shop and café. The Heron farm shop with café will sell a selection of home grown and local produce, with an emphasis on food provenance, seasonality and freshness. The shop will also stock a small selection of rural themed giftware and will be run alongside an 85 cover café. Farm produce will be used on the café menu in order to showcase the produce available to buy in the farm shop. The primary aim of the farm will be to supply produce to the farm shop and café over the year, and to manage the offering according to seasonality. |
