Aims and Objectives | The aim of this assessment is to consider the impact of the proposal to increase admission costs to Calderglen Zoo by £0.10 for an adult, from £1.70 to £1.80 and by £0.30 for a child entry, from £0.60 to £0.90. Under 3s still would still remain free entry. The proposed increase to the current prices charged for entry to Calderglen Zoo will generate savings of £0.020m in 2020/2021. |
Conclusion | The aim of this assessment is to consider the impact of the proposal to increase admission costs to Calderglen Zoo by £0.10 for an adult, from £1.70 to £1.80 and by £0.30 for a child entry, from £0.60 to £0.90. Under 3s still would still remain free entry. The proposed increase will generate savings of £0.020m in 2020/2021. it is recognised that there may be an impact on females due to the difference in gender of the current population. The proposed prices for the zoo are still considerably lower than other similar attractions in the area. Any impact on those attending the zoo still remains fairly minimal due to the low price point. We will continue to review our service and programme within the zoo to deliver a quality customer focused attraction. |
