Coordinate road worker training across Scottish local authorities

Coordinate road worker training across Scottish local authorities | South Lanarkshire Council
ReferenceCom/PIA/21
SummaryThe aim of the project is to coordinate road worker training across Scottish local authorities and to simplify and improve efficiency in the delivery of local high quality training whilst developing relevant Scottish qualifications. This project is also expected to generate a financial saving.

In order to coordinate this activity, Ayrshire Roads Alliance as Managing Authority will require to share limited employee data between the originating authority and training providers involved in the delivery of training.

The data will be held within the QPulse system on a secure server, protected by several layers of security from multiple vendors. There is no access to the information by any external parties and all data entered into the system will be by Ayrshire Roads Alliance staff.

Data will only be shared between South Lanarkshire Council, Ayrshire Roads Alliance and any training providers involved in delivery of training to South Lanarkshire Council staff.

Any emails between the parties above will take place using encrypted emails. It is noted that due to the very limited data gathered, there is no high risk processing of data.

Data processed within QPulse will be based upon the expiry dates of training qualifications.

South Lanarkshire Council staff who will be affected by this project have been advised of how their data will be processed in the administration of their training requirements and records.
