Litter bins - Severn Road and Spey Terrace, East Kilbride

Litter bins - Severn Road and Spey Terrace, East Kilbride | South Lanarkshire Council
IdeaAt Severn Road and Spey Terrace (East Kilbride) footpaths larger public waste bins with hoods or lids should be considered, because the bins currently in the community are emptied less frequently. The bins are therefore fuller and are being "emptied" by ravens, crows and other large birds. This is resulting in bags of food waste, dog excrement and other waste products being scattered on the ground. Residents in the community try to pick items back into the public waste bins but the birds are still emptying the bins again.
ResponseGround Service will review the bin provision within the area. Pole mounted bins with hoods to prevent wildlife from removing waste will be considered.
