About usBranching Out at Eva Burrows Hub is here to provide support our community and South Lanarkshire as a whole. We are the first Harm Reduction Hub within South Lanarkshire who strive to provide the best possible service to people who attend the HUB. We have an open-door policy which allows people to use our Service, at any stage of their life journey to visit us for support in a safe and welcoming environment. Our Service aims to support local people (and their families) who use substances (directly or indirectly) and want support, but are isolated, or have disengaged from support and not receiving harm reduction support around drug use, alcohol use and mental health. Branching Out at Eva Burrows Hub, since October 2022 has opened its doors to the community and offers a variety of Groupwork, Drop-In sessions, Safe Spaces, Community Days, Mindfulness Sessions, Harm Reduction, and partnership working opportunities to ensure everyone receives person centered support. The hub is a safe, supportive, and nurturing environment; with specialist support, interventions, and training opportunities; where people can develop resilience, fulfil their potential, and positively change their lifestyle. We are proud to be taking part in the Period Positive Scheme as well as the Condom Distribution Scheme, we are happy to hold discussions around both subjects and provide products where required.
Our WishWe are seeking support to acquire a new pool table for our community hub—a space dedicated to supporting individuals in recovery and fostering a stronger, more connected community. We had a fabulous pool table which is unfortunately broken beyond repair after lots of community Pool Tournaments and drop in events for our clients. A pool table is more than just recreational equipment; it provides a meaningful way for people to connect, relax, and rebuild social skills in a supportive environment. For those on the path to recovery, opportunities for positive engagement and social interaction are vital. Pool encourages teamwork, patience, and communication—skills that are essential to personal growth and reintegration. Adding a pool table to our space would greatly enhance the atmosphere of the hub, offering a healthy outlet that brings people together, reduces isolation, and strengthens the sense of community. We believe this addition would make a lasting impact on the wellbeing of our members and help build a more inclusive and supportive environment. We appreciate your consideration and support in helping us create a space that promotes healing, connection, and hope. We are looking at a Pool table from a local supplier within South Lanarkshire that is sturdy and can accommodate daily use.
