| About us | East Mains Baptist Church (EMBC) is a vibrant and growing local church, attracting both young, old and numerous young families. We are situated in a prime position in the heart of the old village of East Kilbride. At EMBC, loving people is a priority and we are committed to serving the community, helping the poor, the disadvantaged and the socially excluded. We have addiction groups including AA, GA and CA and also our Chit Chat Cafe which supports older people and those affected by mental health issues as well as those in our community who are experiencing isolation and loneliness. It is a quiet, friendly environment to meet and talk with others over tea, coffee and lunch. We also run a Parent and Toddler group and we have a number of children and youth attending activities that we run here at EMBC which includes The Hub for youth, and Kids Hub for Primary aged children as well as our annual Holiday Club in August. We also have a debt advisory service and run money courses to help people budget and learn more about their finances. We have also been able to join up with the EK Community Food Bank to become a distribution centre for food parcels to those in the local area. |
| Our Wish | For our Basement Project which hosts our addiction groups, we are looking for the following; Carpet/Laminate Flooring, Paint for re-decoration, soft furnishings, a new fridge. |
