| About us | We want to raise awareness about the reality of the impacts of climate breakdown and work towards a more sustainable future for the people of Strathaven and surrounding areas. We do this by bringing our community together to take the action required in order to build a better future. We offer a range of services including a Community Fridge to reduce food waste, a Refill station to reduce plastic use, a direct bus linking Strathaven and Glasgow and many more. |
| Our Wish | We are requesting a donation of materials and general labour to build a shed at the Strathaven Hotel to store E-Bikes. Climate Action Strathaven is looking to give the hotel e-bikes for visitors to encourage them to explore Strathaven and the surrounding areas. There are many benefits to this idea as we actively encourage people to leave the car at home and commute by cycling plus riding a bike allows for the individual to experience the physical and mental benefits of this activity. We want people to get outside more and this initiative will be successful if we can attain the materials and labour for a shed to ensure the E-Bikes are properly stored safely. We are keen to get this project running quickly. |
